The MPA 2 channel amps bring premium level performance to the entry level price range. The product design concept was simple - provide a great performing amp with basic features but LOTS of ground pounding power for their given size.

The MPA160us amp is a great amp for add-on rear channel satellite power but it also pushes out the current in bridge mode necessary for subwoofer installations requiring only moderate power....if you call a scalding 100 watts "moderate" that is....

KEY FEATURES
Key features for this amplifier include:

  • RCA phono & terminal block style hi-level inputs.
  • Input sensitivity controls of 0.3 - 4.0 vrms for line level outputs or direct speaker level connections on the input.
  • Heavy aluminum heat sinks with extensive finage for maximum heat dissipation thus continuous operation under the hardest loads.
  • Load stability minimum of 2 ohms (non-bridged) offering incredible power output when driving parallel configurations.
  • Signal to Noise ratios >100dB to ensure clean signal amplification without background hiss or "grunge" on the audio signal.
  • "Passive" multi-mode capable allowing a derived 3-channel operation (2 high-pass satellites / 1 subwoofer) using outboard coils and capacitors.
  • Fixed and variable high-pass/low-pass filters with wide range frequency settings for maximum installation flexibility.
